My name is Judith Bowman. Having only been a governor since September 2023, I am a relative newcomer to the role, although my links to school go back a long way!
In the dim, distant past, I was myself a pupil at Kirkby Stephen Primary School, as were my three children Gareth, Becca and Patrick. The tradition continues with all four of my grandchildren now attending the school.
In addition to this, I worked as a Year 2 Teacher and SENCo at Kirkby Stephen Primary School for 11 years between 1996 and 2007.
Since this time, I have set up Platform 3 Play within the town which I ran for 10 years before joining the family business of Lakeland Commercials where I now work part time.
I enjoy walking in our beautiful area, music and (luckily!) spending time with my grandchildren.
I am very much looking to being part of the school community once more and my link subjects will be SEND and Music.
