Hi, I am Rachael and I am a brand new Parent Governor as of March 2024.
Myself and my husband Ian live in Kirkby Stephen and have two children in Kirkby Stephen Primary School, currently in Year 5 and Year 1.
I grew up locally, attended Secondary School in Kirkby Stephen, studied in Sheffield and eventually moved back, we now own and run the Caravan Park in town. I am lucky enough to have enjoyed a varied career in events and marketing management before this which included work and travel across the country and abroad.
I am heavily involved in the town Hockey Club both as a player, in the running of the club and as the current lead of the minis/junior section. I love to play and watch sport and enjoy that the whole family are involved with the many clubs the community has to offer.
I am very passionate about this area and our community and think our school plays an extremely important role in this, I want to help where I can to ensure the school continues to go from strength to strength and provide opportunities for our young people.
